A Menu for the Vegetarian

So we have all heard of Indians believing in the Sacred or Holy Cow- What does that mean?

Well the Cow was considered to be sacred because it sacrificed milk for its calf and provided milk for people. The Cow was often kept with in a family’s home and therefore became part of the family. For Indians around the world the cow also provides, Ghee(clarified butter) and yogurt which are vital for their temple rituals. This is how the rise of vegetarianism came about in India and where the taboo of eating beef started.  Research has shown that vegetarians have fewer health problems and more and more people are becoming vegetarians today.

After listening to customers comments about wanting to see more vegetarian choices on our menu I decided to implement a menu that was consistent with our India Modern Cuisine. I wanted to come up with an innovative vegetarian menu on par with our Zagat rated, extraordinary to perfection” dinner menu in look, design and taste. After several trials and working with the Chefs we are launching Tanzore’s “Holy Cow” Menu. Each dish was carefully discussed and prepared with our clientele in mind. We hope you enjoy our creative selections and we look forward hearing what you think!
