What’s a Tiffin?

"Tiffin" is an old-fashioned English word for a light lunch or afternoon snackand sometimes for the box it is carried in. Often times Tiffin Wallahs are also called Dabbawallahs. A dabbawala literally meaning person with a box, is  someone who delivers freshly cooked food in lunch boxes from the residences of the office workers (mostly in the suburbs in cities like Mumbai), delivering to their respective workplaces and returning back the empty boxes. Thus came the idea of The Tanzore Tiffin Boxed Lunch.
